Databases
PostgreSQL and MySQL listen on 127.0.0.1 only and get an app user with a database of its own. The password is shown once in the console; copy it then. On a root server you can open the port to a list of addresses later from the console's firewall settings.
On a shared server you get your own PostgreSQL role and MySQL user with databases named after your account, on the same server as your app.
Redis
Listens on 127.0.0.1 with a password set, shown once in the console.
Web servers
Nginx or Caddy open ports 80 and 443. Caddy gets HTTPS certificates by itself; with Nginx, Certbot is installed for you. On shared servers your app is served for you at its web address, so there is nothing to set up.
Adding installs later
Add or remove installs from the server's page in the console at any time. On a root server you can of course also install anything yourself with apt.
