Pricing · Oct 30, 2026Still paying AWS, Azure or DigitalOcean hundreds a month with few or no customers?
We priced the stack almost every early product runs: a 2 vCPU / 4 GB app server, a 2 GB PostgreSQL database and 1 TB of traffic. At list prices it comes to $146.85 a month on AWS, $137.31 on Azure, $190.70 on Railway when fully used and $54.45 on DigitalOcean. On tport.cloud a bigger server plus a 6 vCPU / 12 GB database is $37.50, or $67.50 with a database standby. Prices checked 30 October 2026.
PostgreSQL · Oct 30, 2026Managed PostgreSQL: tport.cloud vs DigitalOcean (and the standby change from 30 November 2026)
From 30 November 2026, new DigitalOcean Standard PostgreSQL clusters can't go above 4 GiB of RAM or add a standby, so a new high-availability cluster means Advanced Edition: from $260 a month for a primary and standby with 8 GiB each. tport.cloud's HA cluster is $60 for two nodes with 6 vCPU and 12 GB each; the single node is $30 with 6x the RAM of DigitalOcean's $30.45 plan. Prices checked 30 October 2026.
Pricing · Oct 30, 2026tport.cloud vs DigitalOcean Droplets: same price, up to 6x the server
DigitalOcean's $24 Basic Droplet has 2 vCPU, 4 GB of RAM and 80 GB of disk. For $19 on tport.cloud you get 8 vCPU, 24 GB and 300 GB, traffic included: six times the RAM for less money. The same holds at $12 and $48. Side-by-side tables with every size, prices checked 30 October 2026.
Pricing · Oct 30, 2026tport.cloud vs Railway: what an always-on server really costs
Railway bills about $20 per vCPU and $10 per GB of RAM a month, plus $0.05 per GB of egress. An always-on 8 vCPU / 24 GB box with a 300 GB volume comes to about $445 a month there when it is fully used, $496 with 1 TB of traffic.
